I recently had the pleasure of photographing Jacques and Allison on their magical wedding day in Manhattan. It was an iconic NYC event, and I was delighted to play a part in it.
The day started with preparations at the Pierre Hotel.
Allison and Jacques each come from a wonderful family, and it was lovely to be a part of the excitement of the wedding day preparations.
There’s a lot of girl power in Allison’s family: she has a twin sister and an older sister, and they are all very close.
To add to the fun of it all, both Allison and her twin are pregnant, and each is expecting her baby this summer.
While Allison prepared, the handsome groom waited patiently.
At last, Allison emerged for the first look.
And then it was time for the ceremony at Temple Emanu-El, just up 5th ave.
First portrait as a married couple!
Then the three of us boarded a horse-drawn carriage and headed to Tavern on the Green for the reception.
You can learn so much about a couple based on the speeches at their wedding. Allison & Jacques had nine (or more?) speeches, and each was clever, funny, and full of love. Clearly these two are surrounded by people who adore them.
This crowd really liked to dance. I enjoyed every moment, and it was clear the newlyweds and their guests did too.
Congratulations Allison and Jacques! Thank you for including me in your big day. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together, and I can’t wait to meet your daughter this summer!
I had a great time showing Allison and Jacques their photos and was delighted to get this note back from them:
