Goodness gracious, I just loved this shoot.

It wasn’t my first post-winter shoot, but to me it was the first that really felt like spring. The lovely weather, and my gorgeous subject, and warm colors all signified that winter is finally over, and spring is finally here.

We early birds started the shoot just before 8am. It was overcast, which I always enjoy as it adds a moodiness to the images, and reduces the chances that anyone will be too squinty.

Thank you to Kinneal and her mother, for this wonderful spring ensemble, and lovely floral crown!

I love how Kinneal is both youthful and sweet, and has an introspective intensity. In some of these pictures she seems so playful and innocent, in others, wise beyond her years. I guess this is what it means to be twelve!

We had such fun, and really got a kick out using our lovely surroundings as part of the images.

I’ll be doing shoots all spring and summer in NYC and the Hamptons. My calendar is (happily!) filling up fast, so let me know if you want to reserve time.
