Here’s a lovely shoot I did at a the clients’ home in midtown Manhattan NYC. I post all time about my most popular outdoor family photo shoot locations such as Central Park, or featuring the Manhattan skyline, or beaches in the Hamptons, but rarely write about family photos at home in Manhattan. Time to get cracking on that!

We did a nice mix of photos on their roof deck, and in their apartment. Two different locations but the focus was always their cute baby Iris. It was a simple way to get family portraits in two very different settings. On a practical note, this was a nice way to combine warm weather and then head inside to the AC! This is also a great way to do family portraits in colder months: get some lovely photos outside in the snow, and then head back in to the warmth indoors.

I’ve written before about how a decent percentage of my family shoots are people vacationing in NYC or the Hamptons, but of course many of my clients are locals. Either way, we can show off some NYC scenery and capture your family dynamic. I don’t think you ever regret having photos to look back on, whether its of a once in a lifetime vacation, or capturing the beauty in your every day life.

I find that moms with babies are usually the ones behind the camera taking photos, so it’s always my mission to get plenty of photos with mama, and dad too of course.
