One of my dearest friends, Elizabeth, is about to have her 3rd baby!
I went a little crazy and made a retrospective slide show of our shoots. We have been having such a wonderful time doing family portraits over the years.
At the end of our most recent maternity shoot we both got so teary and nostalgic.
I realize that’s slightly nuts, but c’est la vie.
I’m so happy we are creating this lovely record of her family.
Watch the slideshow video with sound!
This is probably the biggest cliche in existence (do NOT tell any of my undergraduate English professors I wrote this) but, I really cannot believe how quickly their children are growing up.
I gasped while going through the photos from our previous shoots.
The shoots weren’t even that long ago, but already their little ones have changed so much.
I posted about Elizabeth a few weeks ago, when we did some maternity portraits just of her in NYC. You can see them here.
Then we met up again in Old Greenwich, CT for this family shoot. We did this dual-shoot (NYC + Greenwich) approach for her second pregnancy, as well.
It worked so well, we did it again!
I’m so glad we did.
I love the gentle mother daughter moment below.
Below is Stella in August 2016.
She hadn’t yet turned one, and was just starting to stand unassisted:
“Thanks, but I think I’ll stay seated” -Stella.
And look at Miss Confident below, in July 2017!
What a difference a year makes!
These side by side comparisons are so sweet, it kills me.
Here’s Jack, having a laugh in August 2015:
And striking a startling similar pose, but looking much more grown up, in July 2017:
It’s no secret that I love a toss by dad.
(Or mom… but they don’t seem to do it. Make of that what you will.)
Here are some of Cliff’s greatest hits throughout the years:
Cliff proclaimed that he’s going to do this at our shoots until Jack and Stella are 18.
I hope so!
Cliff is such a sweet and doting father, and a wonderful husband. I’m so glad Elizabeth found him!
Fun trivia: Cliff and I overlapped for one year in college together. We didn’t meet until years later, when he was dating Elizabeth and she introduced me to her lovely new boyfriend.
Slightly wobbly young siblings, in August 2016 Looking much bigger in July 2017:
Jack seems so proud of his little sister, and Stella seems fascinated with and in awe of her big bro.
I can’t believe that at our next shoot they will have a little brother or sister!
I’m so excited!
Thanks you four.
See you again SOON!
About That Dress
Before your family shoot, I’ll send you a brief “What To Wear Guide” to help you prepare, and get everyone coordinated.
It has some outfit tips, and links to shops you might like.
For maternity shoots (like this one), I have lots of vendors you can check out.
I’m also happy to provide dresses for you to wear.
I have a selection of maternity gowns that you are welcome to borrow.
Elizabeth is wearing one of my dresses here – she looks marvelous! And I love that color with the setting sun.
Planning outfits is part of the fun, and I’m here to help.
Don’t be intimidated!

Family Photography Greenwich
Although I am based in Manhattan, I am always happy to come to Fairfield County, Westchester County, etc for a shoot. Just let me know, and I’ll head your way. How could I not love the beautiful beaches in Greenwich? I feel so lucky I get to work there.
