The Beauty only Central Park can Offer

Starting a new journey can be intimidating. Whether it’s a big move, a new relationship, or a different job the fear of the unknown can be pretty scary. Becoming a parent is no exception! You can take all the classes, read every book, and memorize the advice of each well meaning person who’s gone before, but nothing can fully prepare you for this new adventure.

I often get to meet soon-to-be and new parents either for a maternity shoot or newborn session. I love witnessing the excitement and anticipation, as well as hearing about some of the nervousness and fears.

It’s really great to connect and get to know my clients on a personal level and feel like, in a way, I’m embarking on this new journey with them. I recently helped this lovely couple document their excitement as they await the arrival of their first baby. These two were so full of love for each other, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of their little one. It is an honor to share in some of the anticipatory magic.

We headed to Central Park for a golden sunset shoot to grab some photos of Mom and Dad with the beautiful backdrop of greenery, flowers, and the city-scape only Central Park has to offer.

Confidence is Key

We did a quick maternity shoot at my portrait studio in Greenwich Village Manhattan, where the mom-to-be glowed and stunned in some simple, chic portraits where the focus was all on her. I was thrilled to capture her maternal beauty in the gorgeous lace gown and flowing fabric I have available here at the studio.

Parenthood doesn’t come with instructions, and when you’re handed a brand new baby it can be kind of intimidating. But just like all things that start off scary- the reward is SO great. I’m so beyond excited for my clients, and cannot wait for them to start this new journey together soon.
