Oh my poor neglected blog. Here’s a post of recent shoot I did in Central Park – a location I’m very thankful to have as a NYC family photographer.
This trio was such fun to work with. Their baby was giggling throughout the shoot, and so were we.
I’ve met so many great families through photography. It’s been really wonderful. I love taking portraits of children and of families; the two skills quite different, but I believe both are important.
I heard recently that children have no visual memory until the age of 4 (I have no idea of the source of this info) and to me that just makes these early family portraits all the more special. They will pay a pivotal role in how children will remember their earliest years.
I also think that parents often neglect to be photographed with their children – selfies do not count! Those aren’t going to impress your future grandchildren.
As I edit, I like to think about these images being shown to future generations, and the fun everyone will have looking at the photographs together.
If that makes me corny well…we’re all just going to have to deal with it. It’s unlikely to change. Ha!
